Tagged...

Despite being in the middle of lots of deadlines at uni.. Which arent exaactly going all thaat well! :S But chaltaa haii.. I'm here mainly cuz I was tagged by Ricky and I had no choice but to obey (as overdue as this may be.. !), cuz he's threatened to gimme 'Srk kee qasam' *siiiigh* :D (but yesh, KANK put me off too! :@)

I can't give as interesting answers as some of the people have written (I've been snooping around for hints :p) I lead a boring, normal life naa.. Kaha se aayengey jawaab!! Its to reveal 4 secrets or 4 things about me that people don't kno! So lemme just start, before I run off again or something..

Four places I have lived...
(Umm, I'v lived in Karachi alll my life.. :S) 4 neighbourhoods yesh, but jus 1 city..
1) The house I was born in, I dun remember much about it.. 'cept the fact that I used to sleep with maa.. n there were lots of cats, n ducks, n even a peacock once!!
2) This penthouse that had the most awesomest view and wat wind!! I have brilliant memories of that place.. cuz I'v had tons of birthday parties there.. n even a 'Fairy party' [Mums brainwave!] This was when I was 6.. n all my friends n me dressed up as fairies.. yesh, n the dress code was white! :D
3) We moved again, to a house that had tons of cats.. who we started to feed initially, never thinking that they wud get glued to us soo bad!! :S The only prominent thing about that place is the cats I'd say, n umm.. maybe the fact that it was opposite Pizza Hut! :p
4) Our current house.. 'Home Sweet Home to the core'! I love this place soo soo much, its jus soo cosy n perfect.. not too big yet not too small.. my room.. the view.. everything.. MashAllah, this place rocks! :)
Four TV shows I love to watch...
[I quit the tv last semester, along with everyything else that can rightly be labelled 'entertainment' : but I'll try attempting this, hopefully I still have a few favourites..]
1) FRIENDS - what can I say about it, everyyone knows.. It was relief from all the stress n the exhaustion, a break from everything.. a jump from our world to their apartment building! I dunno why they had to end.. I cannot forget Chandler's jokes, Monica's uptightedness or Phoebe's 'smellyycat' .. lol! N im sure there's lots more that can't be forgotten.. I hope I can 1 day sit down n watch alll the seasons at a stretch..
2) Indian Idol! - I hope it doesn't sound lame here, but I have never been as badly hooked to something on the tv.. even Srk cudnt keep me glued this bad! Exams, exhaustion, watever.. nothing could keep from watching both the seasons.. Though i'v been disappointed by the final result both times, I dont care.. I'm hooked! From Amit Sana.. to Prajakta.. to Sagar [:p] and ofcourse, Karunya.. Its been great stuff! Though I dun wanna get hooked again, n i caant since they'v banned all the channels :@ I know if given the chance, I will!
3) Koffee with Karan - the season was fun n i've seen most of the episodes more than once, n they're still fun to watch!
4) Any old Pakistani drama - Something from the 90's.. Excellent stuff those dramas used to be, 13 episodes n that was it! What they show now is all *shudder* star plus inspired!! :@
Four places I have vacationed...
1) Dubai! :D - with university last year.. A trip I can never ever forget! Left me n everyone else with lots of memories of the fun we had! It was doing something 24/7.. shopping, movies, more shopping.. lol, n having lots n lots of fun!! :)
2) Saudi Arabia - Definately does classify as a vacation! Since its by far, the most soothing place to visit.. To realize why we are in this world, how tiny we are in front of God.. n what life is all about! Not cribbing over every teeny meeny thing that happens, but instead cherishing all that we're blessed with.. Caaant wait to go again!!
3) England/Scotland - A trip years back.. Blurred memories.. Lots of fun! A whole bunch of cities we visited.. Most vivid memory is probably all the rollrcoaster-ish rides in Blackpool!
4) Some of Pakistan - Havnt seen much, but been around a bit.. Would love to go explore more! One day hopefully.. Soon!!
Four hobbies I like to spend time on...
1) The Degree (?) - Is a hobby I guess, since its probably the onlyy thing happening in my life at the moment.. I chose to go ahead with doing it.. N i sorta like it too I guess! Takes up alll of my time as of late though.. SAD! :(
2) Reading - Anyything of interest! Mostly fiction I'd say but it depends on the mood.. I'v loved reading 'Love story' .. 'the Da Vinci code' .. 'Princess' .. 'Sweet Valley' as a kid (:p) .. N I can still pick up anyything by Enid Blyton n get hooked even today!!
3) The Internet - No particular reason I guess.. Its just 'the thing to do' right now..
4) Photography :p - I love being behind the camera not in front of it!! Never tried anything professionally, never had the time to unfortunately.. But I'd love too if ever given an opportunity!
Four of my favourite foods...
1) Haleeeeeem!!! - Made by maa only.. its the bestest thing in the world! Once made, I have it for days at a stretch n still dont get bored.. Yesh, I'm a food freak! :p
2) McNuggets @ McDonalds - with the barbeque sauce.. Yum!
3) Bundu Khan - oily, fattening stuff with parathas.. Awesome taste!!
4) Coke (:p) - Classifies as food for me.. A pivotal part of my daily life!

Four places I would rather be right now...
1) In bed! :p - Been a long, hectic week at uni n the only reason I'm not asleep yet is cuz i have a report due tomo!
2) London (maybe..) - Mum cant quit talking about my nephew ever since she got baaak.. I wanna play with him tooo!! Plus, I dun mind some shopping as well! :p
3) On a world tour! :p (Haha! that should classify in 'places' I'd rather be..)
4) Ummm! Anyywhere away from work, uni, stress, the crap in my head.. Anyywhere!!

Four friends I know will respond to this...
Hahahaha! No one.. lol, I ignore this one! But heyy, everyone readings invited too.. Lemme know if anyone decides to though, I'd love to read!

Ok, this one was the most comprehensive tags of all. I loved reading through it. This is certainly gonna be my "Pick of the week". Awesome!!!

I know your weak points girl (SRK, SRK, SRK) and so knew that you would do it.

Loved reading about all the neighborhood you lived and the stories connected with them. So many memories at every place. Loved the fairy bit specially...very very cute.

Loved Friends too though my fav. character was Joey and Chandler, in fact their comic timing was the best. They stopped it at the right moment because it was getting little boring. I loved the second Indian Idol though my fav were that Bengali girl from Kolkatta and girl from Mumbai whose name started with M and ofcourse Karunya [:D]. Koffee with Karan was good too. Loved old Pakistani shows and Dramas esp. Bakra Kishton pe and one more drama my mom loved [:D]

I know about your love for Haleem and Coke-Chips (your dinner every night).

Awesome post overall. Sachi, loved it. :-)

I too watched both II - 1st and 2nd. So Amit and Prajakta were your fav in 1st mine too and in 2nd mine favs were Karunya and Amay and of course Antara but they could not make it :(. Seems you didn’t get chance to see the Zee TV. But SaReGaMaPa Challenge 2005 was far better than any other singing competition program. As SaRaGaMaPa is the best singing competition program.

There are so many Reality shows on the TV now. India’s Best for hunting film star showing with new name “Zee Cine Star” in Zee, “Nach Baliye” Celebrity dance competition and Laugher Change in Star, “Big Boss” and Fame Gurukul – 2 in Sony. It’s really very hard to follow all these reality shows.

Coffee with Karan, I also love this show but more than that I love Rendezvous with Simmi and Jeena Isika Naam Hai.

And don’t ask about the Pakistani serials – I just love them. I still remember those old days when these TV channels were not entered in Nepal, our national TV channel used to telecaste Pakistini serials on every Monday 8:30 pm and we used to wait for those Mondays. The few serials I saw were – Urusa, Hala (I still remember the ending of this serial – both boy and girl sitting and watching the Hala of the moon) , Ab aur Intezaar Nahin, and the one which ended with the dialogue – on phone the boys ask with the girl “Tum kanha ho?” and the girl replied, “WahiN jahaN tum chhod gaye the.” And the one in which a girl was married by a foreign based boy and left, and she went to find her husband and later on she stayed with someone else house and the man died she looked after his son – hey the boy who played as a son is one of the singer of Pakistan. I had a crush with him ;). Hey you remember the name of that Tele serial, there are many more- I forgot name of all the serials. And now days I hate to see the Tele serials because they never end whereas Pakistani serials used to end 12 or 13 episode. And each serial used to come with new story and new flavour.

Last three answers of … to spend time on... are same like mine. Reading, Internet, Photography. As regarding reading I simply love reading – I’m so addicted – I read even the scrap paper or wrapped paper come with any things - stories, poems or children stories. Do you believe recently I read Oliver Twist and now reading Robinson Crusoe (at home and The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai at office)– as I want to read them again and again. Never ask how many times I read the story “Kabuli Wala,” Cinderella, and other fairy tales for my lovely and sweet niece and nephew :D.

Honestly, I really loved reading your taggie answers. You can guess seeing the length of my comments. See what a long comments…. Longer than your post :P.
